Hello, today,
we’re going to explore the various features and considerations that you should
think about when buying new radiators for your home. Before you go searching
for your perfect radiators, read this article, and arm yourself with this
essential knowledge.
·
You can have style and warmth.
In the past, people often said that you had to choose between staying warm and
having style. This was true of clothing, but also of radiators too. In the
past, designer radiators tended to be less efficient. We’re lucky nowadays,
because designer radiators are equally as efficient as non-designer ones. The
manufactures need to tell buyers how efficient their radiators are, so all you
have to do is read the information to find out if they’re right for you, or
not.
·
You can buy either central
heating or electric heaters. If you don’t have central heating, then you will
have to buy electric radiators. These are very good nowadays, and are only
marginally less efficient than central heating radiators. If you have central
heating, then it makes most sense to buy centrally heated radiators.
However, in some instances, electric heaters might work better. For
example, people like to buy electric towel radiators because it means that they
can use the radiator all through the year, without turning on the central
heating.
The manufactures have cottoned on to this, and provided a solution.
You can now buy radiators for sale
that are dual fuel: both electric and central heating. This means, if you have
central heating, you can have the best of both worlds.
·
Finally, you should consider
how much heat output you need from the radiator. This is easy to work out
because there are online calculators to do this for you. All you need to do is
know the size of the room, the type of room (e.g. bathroom, living room, etc.),
and how warm you want it (cool, warm, hot). You enter this into a BTU
calculator and it will give you the BTU rating needed that room. You then check
this against the radiators description, and if it matches, you’re good to buy
it.
You
can spread the BTU between two radiators. For instance, if the calculator says
you need 8000BTU in your living room, you can buy one 8000BTU radiator, or two
4000BTU radiators. The bigger the room, the more efficient it is to have more
than one radiator.
